The Day After

The kids have been sorting the candy all morning. Trading and fighting over the good stuff. Although the kids have been very nice and sharing some candy with their mom!

Happy Halloween

We headed off to a friend's house for a BBQ and a Halloween parade.

Josie and Mike were rocking the the Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory theme.

Waiting for the parade. The whole parade thing was new for us. It involved the entire neighborhood walking around the neighborhood following a firetruck. The other neighbors who weren't walking in the parade came out and waved. The kids loved it! They were waving and running around.

The firefighters gave out stickers at the end of the parade.

We had a Star Wars theme. Although poor Tea only made it to about 10 houses. She has had the flu all week and it is sick. She had to miss the parade and most of the candy.

Mother's Day Tea

Every year L's preschool does a Tea for the mothers. I look forward to it all year. The kids get dressed up and sing songs and serve their moms tea and cake.
They always sing " I'm a little teapot" but they change the last bit to "here is my handle, here is my handle...wait I'm not a teapot, I'm a sugar pot!" and then they all giggle. It is soooooo cute.

Silver Mountain

We went to Silver Mountain's indoor water park for a weekend in May. It was really fun. There is a water play area, little water slides, big water slides and a surf rider. The kids had a great time.

L had a big wipeout on the surf rider but he got right back on.

Tea was pro she didn't have any wipeouts.

The Big Shoe

Every year the music department at Tea' s school puts on a show called the Big Shoe. This year they had a stick theme so all the kids did performances involving sticks all of different types.

L played with Sawyer in the bleachers.

L's birthday

This was L's actual birthday. We went bowling and then to Red Robin for dinner. Poor Tea she was at school for most of it.

They had a little birthday party for L at school.

Baseball Bubber

L played baseball this past spring. He loved being the catcher.

L is 5!!!

L had his birthday at Coach Brett's gym again. Coach Brett has a bungee seing that is pretty much the deal maker when it comes to birthday parties. Only the birthday child gets to do the bungee swing.

This little beauty is Mia - the love of L's life. He says he is going to marry her. Tea taught him the proper way to propose - you know down on one knee and a kiss on the beautiful maiden's hand. He practices on me so he can be ready for "marrying day". Honestly I wouldn't mind if he married Mia - she is a tough and sweet little girl who gives him a run for his money!

Did I mention it was a pirate party?

Easter

There was a mad panic when the kids woke up Easter morning because they didn't see any eggs. It turns out the Easter bunny was up really early and hid the eggs outside.

Tea could barely stand the wait to wear her new Easter dress.

The Race Track

L loves to ride his bike. He has been wanting to go the BMX track for quite awhile. He loved every minute of it and was exhausted after a few laps.
